Sorry for the long delay between posts. I went out for my first real run in 2 weeks. I have been to the gym, and have played a lot of ultimate, but that’s no excuse.
My run tonight was ok. I ran for about 45 minutes. I don’t know how far I went because the path I usually take was flooded. I just sort of ran around for a while then went home. I’ll be more serious from here until the race. I hope.
Just finished a great ultimate tournament. Warm weather is coming and I can’t wait for out door ultimate to begin. Less than 3 months until Soggy Bottom Bowl.

After the weekend’s long runs I elected to continue the trend and head out this morning. I’m very tired (but not as tired as Michael, who was playing ultimate in the snow all weekend). Curse-you, DST! The snow was lightly falling and it was a beautiful morning.

After getting the kids full-up on KD (with hotdogs!!) and having two bowls myself, I decided watching the Raptors (lose…) and having a pop and bowl of chips would be a great idea. My next great idea was to vent my frustration at the Raptors by running.
I lugged those two bowls of KD (with hotdogs!!), can of pop, and chips for 13.1 klicks. Power food it was not. Complaining aside, it was an ok run, with an ok time, and I’m happy I was able to get it done as I work toward bumping up my weekly distance.

“Back in the saddle again” again. I’ve had a couple shorter runs in the last couple weeks but this has been my first long-ish run in a while and it felt great to be able to do it comfortably. It’s so much easier to motivate myself to go out and run when it’s not -15 degrees!
Ultimate on Wednesday was incredible. The lead must have been exchanged about a half-dozen times. We were down by 4 with 10 minutes left and came back to take a 2 point lead and eventually win by 1.

Another run with work friends this morning. It’s nice to get that extra bit of motivation to go out. One of the runners is pro-star. It’s nice to have someone’s brain to pick.
Michael and I played pick-up on Sunday morning. I felt great. More ultimate tonight. Ultimate’s fun and all, but I think once it wraps up at the end of march it will be good for the running as I’ll be able to have more focus.
Not completely running related, but Michael shared this ultimate link with me yesterday, the likes of which I’ve been looking for for a long time.
